How I found my Niche and where I go for Inspiration online

Today, I share with you my top 10 favorite design bloggers! Enjoy responsibly:) Best with scissors, paper, and glue. All of these fantastic writers explore Art, Design, DIY, and lifestyle topics. While some of these writers you may already follow, I hope you will discover someone new. Also, if you also have a site, I invite you to share your link with us at the bottom of this post.

With the 1-year anniversary of my blog rapidly approaching, I have been truly reflecting on all that I set out to accomplish within the first year of this new blog. As you may remember from my welcome post, I wrote another personal blog as a hobby for years and I wanted to create something new. 
I started with 2-3 goals in mind.

1. I wanted to be inspired and share inspiration from the projects that I create weekly as an artist and designer. 
2. I planned to attend, review and offer workshops in the Los Angeles area. As an Angeleno, I feel strongly that there are many outstanding art workshops and cultural opportunities at our disposal. I set out to review and to share them here.
3. My goal was to focus my interests and cultivate my voice within my niche by blogging along the way. 

As as I develop my vision, I look to other bloggers that I have discovered, followed, and been inspired by along the way.

Let me also say there are many talents in the craft, design and DIY genres. Today, I would like to share with you 10 of my favorites. 

These are the blogs that I enjoy weekly and look to for insight about approaching the big picture in this relatively new field. 

1. A Beautiful Mess: Original decor and craft ideas. This summer, I took my first e-course: Blog Life, which was a great way to renew my content and plan the next steps. 
2. The Jungalow: I am drawn to Justina's textile designs, house-plants and pattern inspiration.
3. Fall for DIY: New find! I love all the creative and crafty DIY projects, also her Pinterest boards! 
4. SF Girl by Bay: Another one of my long-time favorite reads, I admire Victoria's style, aesthetic, and worldly adventures. 
5. The Design Files: I love the posts on art, homes and creative people. 
6. The House that Lars Built: Amazingly creative large-scale DIY and installations such as the balloon arch. 
7. Cup of Jo: I love Joanna's lifestyle and travel writing that centers around family. Her articles and interviews often reveal a unique perspective. 
8. Hello Hydrangea: I have followed Lindsey's blog for over 8 years, I love how she has developed her voice as an expert on craft, her gorgeous weavings and workshops. 
9. Somewhere Slower: I love to read about the Adamo family's adventures around the globe. I appreciate the Courtney's authentic voice and her inspirational journey toward slowing down to embrace the truly valuable things in this life.  
10. Almost Makes Perfect: New find! I enjoy Molly's DIY projects, calming neutral aesthetic and beautiful photos of her home. Check out her block printed napkins DIY below.
