How to Create an Essential OIl Roller BlendHappy New Year! It feels so good to be back in my studio, all rested and full of creative ideas and energy. How are you feeling? Over the winter break, I tested out 3 free essential oil recipes that you can easily try out at home with your creative friends. These recipes can be calming and grounding, and are my gift to you for the New Year! A few years back my good friend Flin, tuned me in to essential oils through her products and aromatherapy. You might remember that I shared how to make a custom room spray with her and our giveaway. This specific technique of creating a roller blend is taught in depth at our Natural Dye and Aromatherapy workshop this Spring! For those of you that would like to get started using Essential oils at home, I am going to share a few recipes that my photographer friend, Amelia and I created this holiday as gift for friends. I also think these would make a sweet Valentine's gift with that holiday right around the corner. For this project, Amelia and I pooled our essential oil collections, and purchased a few additional oils including frankincense and bergamot to include in our recipes. Frankincense was one of Amelia's favorites from the Natural Dye and Aromatherapy workshop. Read on down for the free recipes! New Year, New ScentsTo be honest, ever since taking Flin's aromatherapy portion of the workshop, we felt so inspired, that we have gone a little roller blend crazy! In fact, we are loving essential oil roller blends more than any store bought perfume on the market. One thing that I think you will appreciate about these blends are the plant origins. They are all natural and can be made with one your friends. Another thing, that I love about these is that they fit nicely into your handbag! On to, the recipes! Hakuna Matata:

Could you guess that my 4 1/2 year old came-up with all of the names? ;) We loved making these blends, especially all of the different ways to combine eucalyptus, bergamot, jasmine, and frankincense. Full disclosure: I am an essential oil enthusiasts, not a professional, and although I have taken Flin's portion of the workshop twice now, I am still learning the properties of each oil along with discovering what it smells I like. In our workshop, you will learn much more about essential oils from Flin, a Certified Aromatherapist. Flin teaches about each oil, it's plant origin, it's uses and more! You will discover what scents you enjoy, experiment, then walk away with knowledge and experience to create your own blends at home. Trust me, creating these can be really addicting! If you do wish try this out at home, I am happy to share a few of the products that we used in this project to create our custom gifts. Since we ordered a large 24 pack of glass rollers, we were each able to make 12. In my experience, I find DoTerra oils to be fantastic quality, and consider Aura Cacia and NOW to be a good quality as well. {Please note that the products below contain affiliate links, meaning at no cost to you, I will earn a commission, if you decide to purchase.
