My influences are as diverse as the colors of the ocean and the textiles of 8th century Japan. New variations and experiments are discovered through a meditative studio art practice. I am drawn to textures found in nature and the palette of the natural world. Watercolors and natural dyes are mixed by the hand. Capturing something as fleeting as a moment in time, a texture or color in nature. The simple beauty and moments that surround us are reflected in the work.
