UPDATE: Please join us Sunday, September 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00pm. for a chance to create a beautiful round wall weaving using naturally dyed wool and plant fibers with fiber artist Trudy Perry, and natural dyer Hilary L Hahn. Treat yourself to some creative quiet-time in nature in this retreat-like workshop. We will meet outdoors in a Topanga Canyon green space and social distancing measures all in place. Working with plant color in nature is inspiring🌿

You might see wild rabbits, monarchs or dragonflies. All surrounded by the oak trees and beauty of the mountains. This is a chance to explore fiber art and ultimately connect with other creatives.

One reason that we love to host workshops is that creative connection and now that we can offer them to a small group of individuals with social distancing, we can feel connected to each other and to nature again🌼 We aim to provide an amazing experience and you walk away with a one-of-a kind piece of wall art (valued at $150)

Artisanal Supply kit included:

  1. Naturally dyed yarn
  2. Naturally dyed fabric strips in pomegranate, madder, and indigo
  3. Warp Thread
  4. Embroidery needle
  5. 10" round ring serving as your loom included

Option to bring:

  1. Your own scissors
  2. Fabric
  3. 1 skein of neutral yarns in a color or texture of your choice

Act now to guarantee your spot!

Class size is very limited to 10 adults- everyone will wear masks, spread out, and have their own individual work space, and our last workshop did sell-out!

Trudy Perry is a working Fiber Artist and Instructor based in the Santa Monica Mountains. With a background in design, she creates large scale woven wall hangings using organic materials. Inspired by nature, she brings these elements into her pieces. Creating something that is intentional, thoughtful and visually appealing is deeply gratifying. She loves seeing the magic that happens when a piece is finished and the story it tells.
She currently exhibits her work, creates commissions, and teaches weaving workshops.
