Join us for an opportunity to explore the magical world of natural dyes in 4 week course!
In this 4 part course, Hilary L Hahn will facilitate and lead artists in the study of authentic natural dyes such as logwood, pomegranate, madder root, and indigo. This course is a natural dyers dream come true! We will meet 4x over a 1 month period (online!) and dip into the world of natural color in detail. You will learn how to use 4 authentic and historical natural dyes! We will focus on one dye per session, up-cycle our current wardrobe or linens culminating with our eco-printing and critique in week 3.

It's going to be exciting! Our final meeting will culminate in a critique of the work we have created. Indigo patterns can then be used to overlay work done in the initial 2 weeks. In week 4, we will choose a piece to over-print using various types of eucalyptus leaves. We will learn as a group and share images and notes. Get your questions answered beyond the initial class meeting in our virtual group and be-friend dyers and textile designers from across the globe.
