UPDATE: Please join us Sunday, September 27th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00pm. for a chance to create a beautiful round wall weaving using naturally dyed wool and plant fibers with fiber artist Trudy Perry, and natural dyer Hilary L Hahn. Treat yourself to some creative quiet-time in nature in this retreat-like workshop. We will meet outdoors in a Topanga Canyon green space and social distancing measures all in place. Working with plant color in nature is inspiring🌿


You might see wild rabbits, monarchs or dragonflies. All surrounded by the oak trees and beauty of the mountains. This is a chance to explore fiber art and ultimately connect with other creatives.


One reason that we love to host workshops is that creative connection and now that we can offer them to a small group of individuals with social distancing, we can feel connected to each other and to nature again🌼 We aim to provide an amazing experience and you walk away with a one-of-a kind piece of wall art (valued at $150)

Want to create something beautiful for your walls? If you have ever had the desire to learn loom weaving while creating a stunning personalized piece of art, then this small-group in person workshop is for you.


Join us Sunday, July 5th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a chance to create a beautiful wall weaving using naturally dyed wool and plant fibers! We will be meeting outdoors in the green space of our Miracle Mile garden and social distancing measures will be in place!

This class is led by lifestyle expert and weaver, Stacie Krajchir in collaboration with artisanal dyer and textile artist, Hilary L Hahn.


Stacie Krajchir is a Lifestyle Curator, Textile Artist and People Connector. With a background in painting, she has consistently found a way to merge one art form with another throughout her journey as an artist. Stacie graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Art Practice and Art History. “Whether it’s painting, ceramics, or working with natural dyes and textiles—making is my slowing down…the being present and spilling over. The fibers, the weaving, exploring natural dyes, it’s all a way to recharge, replenish and show up for the rest.”


Stacie is the founder of @slowmotionretreat a creative retreat offering hands-on-workshops that lean into slowing down.

Indigo Shibori Garden social

Join us December 5th @ 3:30 for a final opportunity to dye with indigo this year in a safe socially distant small group setting.


Are you interested in learning how to work with indigo?

Would you like to create a curated sustainable closet designed in part by you?


In this small group workshop, you will find the freedom to create an indigo and patterned textile that you will cherish for all time. I offer a short intro to natural indigo and describe the process of shibori binding, an ancient Japanese technique. Next, we explore simple binds, ties, and folds.


You will receive a long 15" wide bolt of fabric to dye (makes a perfect wall handing or table runner) and up-cycle 1 piece of your choosing using natural indigo and learn about how to create an organic indigo vat, all surrounded by the beauty of our Miracle Mile dye garden. Everyone will have their own materials, be spaced over 6 feet apart and all social distancing measures including masks will be in place. Mask and bandana blanks will be available to purchase.

In this workshop, you will learn to naturally dye upholstery weight cotton using color extracted from plants then embroider it to create a unique handmade clutch.


You will learn the basics of natural dyeing and embroidery, Including basic Sashiko and running stitches with fiber artist, Lori Zimmerman to embellish your new clutch. Your piece can then be lined with a lining provided and finished with a magneticmetallic clasp.


​Hilary Hahn is a visual artist and textile designer. She uses natural dye materials and traditional processes in a modern way. With a background in interiors and fine art, she unites these worlds through her textile designs. Hilary founded the Creative Sundays workshop series to help people discover new creative processes and spark creativity, while making items that are both beautiful and functional.


Lori Zimmerman is a fiber artist working with fabric painting, photography and embroidery. Her current body of work is inspired by our need, as we face life’s challenges, to mend ourselves and the world around us. Lori has a BFA from California College of Art. Lori initially worked in fabric print design and interior design, and has been exhibiting her fine art in the United States and Canada since 2011.

Join us Sunday, October 6th to learn the ancient tradition of wax batik, an intriguing technique of applying wax resist on fabric to be over-dyed. In this workshop, you will explore various application techniques and tools, with possible results ranging from intricate details, bold geometrics, to fields of abstract textures. In this 5 hour class, time will be given to practice techniques before creating an original design to suit your vision. You will leave with a set of sample swatches and a finished 22” square of organic cotton. Your finished piece can be worn as a bandanna, hung in a window- or sewn into something of your choosing!

In this workshop, you will discover the magic of natural plants to create kaleidoscopic color on silk and cotton through an eco-dyeing activity. We will gather leaves, use wildflowers and seasonal blooms to bundle dye on large silk square scarves and cotton. While our bundles steam, you will relax and enjoy a snack in the garden as the sun sets. Both textiles make great gifts and are so fun to re-create at home again!
